So, I have to stop and dish a review five chapters in to this story, because the last paragraph really hit on the reason Paula and Tony would never get together on the show (and not because she would never return). The inner monologue of Paula realizing and accepting that she would never have Tony was perfect, with no attempt to create an alternate reality, where they get together and have a gazillion babies in fic land. No, this was to the emotional point and spot-on in characterization.

You give Gibbs the right edge, which is hard to do without making him seem like a jerk. He's a professional investigator, a Marine, who knows that one has to do the job and put emotions to the side until there's time for them that doesn't interfere with the mission. I really like your work that shows Paula absorbing his lesson in the day following the explosion. You take the time to make it happen and allow the emotional differences between men and women come through with flying colors.

Even though I know how the episode ends, I find myself eagerly reading this rollercoaster of emotion in the Paula character. Great job in capturing the distress that goes along with what happened and in supplementing the scenes as we saw them performed by the actors!

My dear, your story is wonderful, it brought tears to my eyes. You are extremely talented. CBS should hire you for their scripts...

I'm disappointed that we don't see much of Tony/Paula in the show, they would be fun together.

This is excellent! You've done an incredible job of taking the relatively small amount of informatino we have on Cassidy and expanding on it believably. There's definite depth to her character, and you've captured it perfectly. I particularly liked seeing her point of view on her interactions with the other members of the NCIS team, especially her frustration with the way Gibbs has treated her.

I loved this chapter, as much as the other ones... I watched the episode again and realized that she indeed was wearing make-up the second day... I wish they could have shown us more of her feelings...
