2008-06-02 . chapter 2
Well, I do hope you continue this story, it does have an interesting premise established now. But I do have to say, please ease up on the long winded and extraneous exposition every second paragraph.
While I am enjoying the story I am having flashbacks to the lord of the rings books, reading who knows how many pages and finding yourself two steps outside Frodo's front gate.
It's obvious that your a skilled enough writer to not have to fall under the sirens song of writing something the easy way by just talking till the thought is complete. Less is more.
PS, this is not a flame, trying to give a helpful opinion and review.

Hey there! Really hope you haven't abandoned this one, seeing as how you've got me all caught up in waiting to see what this is gonna be all about. Rah-rah and all that; and hope you come back soon!

Take this as you will, and hopefully you'll listen in the first place, but...

I didn't read past the second sentence of the first paragraph. What in the world does Wade's opinion on a movie have anything at all to do with this story? Why is it even in this story? Who cares?

I don't. Find a better way of capturing an audience which isn't satisfied so easily.

Well I believe I just found one of the top KiGo fics around. Holy **, man! That was fantastic. B-E-A-utiful grammar, composition, spelling, and character. Loved the chase in chapter one, by the way. Makes me laugh at how Shego's services were so easily purchased. Wow. I'm incredibly psyched up for the next chapter. (Please, let there be one. Or twenty.)
Thanks for being an awesome fanfic author!

Holy crap.

That was my initial reaction to this story. Not since Hobnobrev's epic MBS have I seen a story so well-written that I would dare to compare it to a professional novel. In fact, MBS is the only story I can think to compare this to, as you have written over 27 thousand words in only two chapters. Your writing style is a blast to read, full of fresh, clever metaphors, engaging dialogue, and pulse-pounding action. I was literally hanging on every word.

I must say, I like this more realistic take on the KP universe. Drakken and Shego's actions could actually be considered treason in real life, which is an executable offense in most countries, including the U.S. While I understand that idiotic law enforcement is the norm in KP because it is supposed to be a parody of James Bond, I have to say that I love seeing Shego deal with a realistic military threat. I also like that you've balanced it out and not gone Deus Ex Machina on us by giving Shego godlike powers or having a sniper kill the green lady before she even knows what hit her. Instead, both have a fighting chance.

You have Shego's character nailed. I actually HEARD Nicole Sullivan's voice as I was reading the lines. Every word she speaks and every action she takes in this story captures perfectly that raw, individual, clever, sarcastic, seductive personality that has made her the most popular villain character on the show. I find myself cheering for her as usual, and placing her in the role of the protagonist is always a welcome change from the show.

Shego doesn't go down without a fight, and these long, drawn out chapters convey that fact brilliantly. The first chapter was physical, the second details her mental strength. While she has little patience, Shego has a tremendous amount of endurance, as these initial chapters masterfully demonstrate. I liken them again to MBS: it may take a while to get there, but the story is not about the destination, but rather the journey. Therefore, the longer the better.

I can honestly see Shego cursing if the show were not on Disney Channel, especially given the circumstances of this story. However, she isn't an obscenity fountain; every curse is strategically placed where it will have the most emphasis. Shego doesn't swear for the sake of swearing, and the rough language is well handled and very in-character.

Similarly, the sexual innuendo in this chapter is SO Shego. She likes needling people. Her flirting didn't make her seem at all like a **. Rather, it actually improved my opinion of her because it portrays her as smart and cunning, able to find the chink in her opponent's armor and exploit Skye's weakness. Very nicely handled.

It is said that the quickest way to a woman's heart is through her purse. This is especially true in Shego's case. Her sudden shift in attitude is very in-character, as well as hilarious. I was laughing my ** off when Shego pulled Skye close to her, making her captor uncomfortable yet again. It never ceases to amaze me that money can erase practically any bad history. Again, it did not lower my opinion of Shego, since I don't see her as greedy, just practical. Only an idiot (or Kim) would turn down that much money.

Skye Sage is a character type that is sorely underused in fiction: the reluctant leader. It's clear that she doesn't want to do this job. She seems content with sticking to a routine; doing what she knows. Shego is uncharted territory for her, and she honestly seems afraid of the pale woman. However, she is very good at hiding this lack of confidence in her mission and shows a genuine desire to do the job right. Skye is like a fusion of Kim and Ron: hyper-efficient and very good at what she does, yet she lacks the self-confidence to really stand up to anybody most of the time. But when she absolutely has to, she'll swallow her insecurity and do her job. The biggest payoff of this personality, and the only thing that saves her from Shego, is her ability to connect with the green lady. If it had been anybody else, Shego wouldn't have cooperated. But ironically, it is Skye's lack of faith in the mission objective that allows her to pull it off successfully. Very nice characterization, and I wouldn't mind seeing her in other stories.

You have me in a place that few authors have managed to get me: on the edge of my seat. I eagerly await your next update.

Wow. The whole interview was great. I like how even through Shego claimed evil you still had a good high price for her soul. She will still get to ** people off professionally mainly because Kim will make an appearance. I can't wait for the next chapter and to see who all is in on this little team you are creating. And i wonder what is the price of Kim's soul becasue how else will they get her to work with Shego. Post soon later

Hot damn...well everything up to the ending was gold, particularly a few lines.
Here's one:
It was as if the whole reason she chose this illegal lifestyle was so she could ** people off professionally.
Made me laugh really, really hard. Did the finger snaps and everything.
I dunno about Shego working for these people, to be honest...I mean, I'm not sure I could see her turning coat like that. OK, great, that's a lot of zeros but...
Well maybe...
Whatever. I really, really, REALLY like this! It's so good!! I mean, it's insanely lengthy and easy to get into, and the content is - great.
I'm enjoying this a lot, and have been awaiting an update for a while! Nice to see it being continued! :D

O.o Okay, this is different from what I've read before. What's happened to Shego? What has Wade gotten himself into? Now those parts got me hooked so keep updating.
