This was such a cathartic read...especially after this last episode! You've allowed us a multi-dimensional view of Meredith's thought process, and the inner struggle was such a beautiful thing to see. You've made her imperfect, but believable and likeable...and ditto with Derek, which is difficult to do. The conversation was one that needed to happen. To read it was wonderful.

I liked the fluffy end... fluff is good. I enjoyed this story. You did a great job with it. My goodness... imagine actually... *gasp* talking about your issues? LOL Nice take... maybe we will get it in season 4?

Oh my god! That was amazing! So well written, and I loved how all the past references were appropriately used in relation to what was currently happening. This has definitely cheered up my MD shipper heart since the sadness of the finale.

Oh, that was just what I needed to stop some of the MerDer ache that the finale brought on. Just what I needed! It was so nice to see Meredith and Derek churn through their issues like that. I'm convinced it's all they really need on the show, too. Just one, real, honest heart to heart. I'm mad at Meredith too right now, though I can sort of see why she reacted the way that she did (on the show). I'm mad at both of them, really, for being so painfully dense. I'm glad you cut through the crap and gave them the moment they needed to work things out. I loved this. I just loved this. Thanks so much for writing this story :) Oh, and you asked me about the title... I think it's perfect for this, because it's exactly what they did.

In Meredith's defense. . .watch the "I met a girl" scene, and then the locker room scene. THink about the past 24 hours she's been through: drunk Thatcher, intern exam. . .think about Derek standing her up after her fake mommy died, because he looked through the window & saw her drinking. Yes, she needed to give him a response, but he's blowing hot & cold as well. So she was caught off-guard.

I only wish this is what had really happened! Also, I think it's very in character for Meredith to make a speech about herself during someone else's wedding. That made me chuckle a little at first before I started degenerating into "aws". You write beautifully :) Please continue! I'm glad you decided to start writing these even though you didn't have an outline. I was reluctant to write that way as well, but I've actually found it helps me a ton.

I hope see the last chapter before tonight's show but if not I will still read it when I do. Please post more soonish.
