Absolutely phenomenal! I think you'd be a great author. I love how you stayed true to the main Death Note concepts and didn't just make it a hot yaoi scene between two cute characters. The way you build on it with back story is really smart. BTW, I constantly had to check word meanings on online dictionaries throughout reading this. Love your word choice!!
