*Blows her nose rather loudly* This chapter had me crying and shaking with sorrow and rage at those dwarves' treatment of poor Silivren. At first I was shocked at her attitude towards Gimli, but after learning the reasons behind it all, I think it is a wonder she was able to even be in the same room as a dwarf without doing something violent (which I would most likely have done if I was her). Making Legolas hand over Tathar's pearl to receive help, and then refusing a desperate request for aid by Sili simply because she was an Elf?! It makes me furious to think about it!!
It was very sad that Shain, Naldin and Sothi died. I'd become rather fond of those characters. I even found myself wishing it had been What's-his-face in Moria instead of them. Rather cruel of me to wish that, isn't it...

i know the plot sort of winded down but surely you could keep on writing about silivren after she comes back and squeeze the sexy aragorn in there somewhere while you're at it.

you're one of the most talented writers i've seen on and i am elated that i've read your stories and i would really like another LOTR one from you!!

A lovely addendum to A Little Nudge...I am glad to know that all involved know of the fate of the pearl.

I can’t not believe, and utterly shocked that I some how did not read this story. I have of course read your others, but for some reason this one escaped me.

I am in aw of your talent and beautiful crafting of bringing a story together. You had me literally screaming some of the lines of the characters. I was so ** at Silivren when she cast out Gimli. Legolas’s anger was something to behold and I just could picture it so vividly in my mind. I also though in the end felt sadden for Silivren, and that my friend is great writing. Thank you so much for writing this and I do hope you are going to write more, keep up the beautiful work.

What a fabulous story! I hadn't realized there was a sequal to Nudge Out the Door. I especially enjoyed the way Legolas reacted to his niece. Fantastic characterization! I also liked the glimmer of hope for friendship between the two races that you wove throughout. Bravo!

Oh, and just as I was getting really upset that both thse fics were now over, I discover there is another! Yay! Off to read that one now (and to neglect my revision completely. Shame.)

I really liked this one. It had good characters, interaction and a simply brilliant portrayal of Legolas and Gimli together after WotR. It also had a fair amount of humor and tension that just makes one grin in excitement. Plus the 'your starting to sound like a elf' was cool on both times. Basically I just liked their comarderie. I especially liked Galithil's meeting with Gimli and 'grassing' on Silvrian (sp?) to Legolas. Legolas' subsequent rage and actions towards to his niece, the scene at the end with elvellon act and him hugging the dwarf over the pearl. The dwarves interaction and play out was amusing and good and the elves reaction to Legolas' elf-friend gift was a good bit too. Gimli was just plain fantastic...reactions, insults, gruffness and this part is a fav:

""The thought of Legolas, hidden in the scant shelter of dead branches, pinned beneath the tree, in shock and delirious, led Gimli to do what he would never have risked for anyone else. Still running, he began to shout for help."" lol that image is just makes me laugh...
""He ran on, calling out, “Ho! Elves of Mirkwood! Your aid is needed! Is anyone there?!”
Never had Gimli, son of Glóin been so relieved to see an arrow slam into a nearby trunk."" ah thats just perfect :P

Also not sure why but this line is dead funny! ^__^
“You’ve got the elf princeling’s pearl, you deaf-wit! It’s on your right hand!”

Everyone's interaction and the drama with the princess...she's really off her rocker!...and Loben. Enjoyed how the two connected together, as well as Legolas and Gimli with the pearl and ring and those party of dwarves...gotta love those coincidences! Also your backstory sounds really sound and even though i havent read it there are enough hints, the characters are developed enough within their own right and you do explain things somewhat that it really isnt necessary to read ALNOotD. The only thing i imagine that it explains that i would like to know is about the pearl? Honestly i tried to read it but i got bored, maybe now after reading this i can manage it. Still you wouldnt perhaps tell me where i can find the explanation for the pearl would you? Please?
Would kinda be nice to see Legolas in Gimli's home...hint hint ;)

I read this one and A Little Nudge Out the Door and loved them both. There were actually times when I almost cried, which is highly unusual. Only one thing confused me: Did Legolas know that Gimli had Tathor's pearl during the quest?

I loved it, it's great!

Ahh! Such a nice warm and heart-felt ending! Somewhat predictable but if you had ended it any other way, I would have been rather put out.

I actually think this mad version of Silivren has more depth of character than "Sili" of "Nudge Out The Door."

I hadn't realised you had wrote a sequel and only discovered this when I came back to RE-READ "Nudge Out The Door". Well, I'm fixing that little mistake by ticking the Author Alert box right now ;)

Good to see you writing a sequel. I've always wondered what will happen to that pearl and if Legolas would ever get it back.
