Thank you very much for writing this and sharing it with us! I like your premise of Saitou not trusting or being able to get close to people because of what happened with his first wife. Then along comes Tokio tugging at part of his subconscious, but he is too hurt to trust and respond. I also like how you set the storyline so she could reveal how she felt about him, and how she thought people should be treated, while he was listening in secret. Thanks again for the great read!

Your version of how Saitou and Tokio met was well done. You used a lot of historical terms and references too, and for that alone I found it well worth reading.

The title fit really well, and you did a great job tying it in during the end scene.

I really, really enjoyed this! I think that you captured the essence of Tokio and Saito so well. The flow of the dialogue and emotions of the story was wonderful. I know that this is only a one-shot, but maybe you would consider a continuation or even more S x T fics?
