Two things that stood out, a) why does Katou have cigarettes in the afterlife-afterlife? and b) "It took him what could have been hours (or months, or seconds, or days, or minutes)" ... "it continued echoing back and forth for quite a few more minutes (or seconds, or days, or months, or years…)."

I think it's an interesting pattern you had, going from months, seconds, days, to minutes and think the sentence flow would've worked better if the second reference to time went: minutes, days, seconds, months. That's just my opinion. The story was awesome ^^

Yay! Kira and Kato are together for infinity! I loved this story. I loved how Kato was running around trying to catch Kira. And yay, the kiss! And the forever together. Two thumbs way up! ^.^
