I like how you used the rain to parallel everyone's feelings of grief. So much feeling in this fic; I really enjoy this character already, so it's nice to see her in a smaller point in time. I loved the description of Ponyboy in the beginning, sitting all alone on the swing as the storm gets closer.

This makes me so sad. It's pouring rain here right now and I can just picture it all happening. I think the death of the Curtis parents is the one thing that set all things in motion for these guys and changed all of their lives, even if they didn't realize it.
