i don't think i've ever seen this cross done before. and it should be.. can't wait to see what happens, will they rescue the Doctor? Does Bad Wolf come into play at all? and how much of the future does this all change?

For Cute Gallifreyan: What I meant to come across is that the Doctor and Rose are a rather amused or weirded out by the fact that they're talking with another "Doctor" who operates in time travel.

I had actually wanted this to be the first time they learned that the person who created time travel went by "Doc" and was also a Doctor, but I decided to add that bit where they talk to Marty in the afternoon, so the joke does fall a bit flat I'm afraid, since the suprise is mostly gone. But I figured they could still be amused by it. When the Doctor says "That figures," it's just his way of saying that it figures that the person who created this time machine that was originally the first created by the Time Lords also goes by Doctor. But again, the joke falls flat since they already knew he went by that. Am tempted to take the whole meeting Marty part out, but I wanted the Doctor to have an idea of what was going on from the Back to the Future movies as well.
