You're no Terry Pratchett, but nobody is Terry Pratchett except Terry Pratchett, and even he is having trouble with that lately, as far as I have heard.

Anyway.

The story is good, there is nor problem here, and it is written well. Unfortunately, when you write fanfiction about a book, especially when it has a style as distinctive as the Discworld novels, one cannot help but compare you to the original.

Still good, though. I myself will probably never have the courage to take on the Pratchett-man like that, so props for that, too.

I honestly think everybody out there writing Discworld-fanfiction deserves this sorta respect. You're lucky that it's you this time.
