I have to say, well done. This is a very entertaining and satisfying piece of work. I enjoyed each twist and turn, and loved the explanation for Hermione's spellnet handicap...it all made sense.
Great job. I'd offer you my first born but I haven't got one yet.

I greatly enjoyed this story. The complexity of the plot and the depth of the background detail are things that I so rarely come across in fanfic.

In all honesty, it's refreshing to find a story where the lead characters do not instantly fall into undying love. When one of them is Snape, this would simply not have been believable. The more complex relationship that develops is far more interesting.

The novel has its flaws - an inevitable result of something being complied and altered over time. Odd typos and occasional missing words of part of sentences are irritating, but it's usually possible to work out what was intended.

The novel is of a quality that sets my editor's instincts twitching (this is a compliment as I never get the urge to edit things that aren't of high quality). There are some places where better foreshaddowing of later events would have made good sense. Hermoine's motives are a bit muddled in places and given that the Horcruxes play a role in the overall plot, they should not have been disposed of off-stage.

The part about Snape having an effect on Hermoine's childhood was a coincidence too far and I actually felt that this detracted from the overall believability of the storyline.

The use of maths in magic was very well written and feels very in character for Hermoine.

I'm unclear as to why Harry had to stay hidden or where Ron was and what they were doing while Hermoine was at Hogwarts.

I loved the whole idea of dowries and how they were used in the story.

There are very few pieces of long fanfic that I read though to the end. This novel hooked me for several days reading. Thanks for writing it.

I'm not sure that I understand what Snape is trying to do and what his motivations are.

Great fic! I honestly can't wait for my second read (and third, and fourth!)
Though the story feels complete in and of itself I do hope a Book 2 is indeed in the work . . . I'd love to find out what's going on with Sinrick and some other results of the Dowry Project! (Ron can come too I guess:D)
I'm off to read evrything else you've written -- thanks for the excellent read!

The first time I read this story I didn't understand half of it. So I went back and reread it. The complexity of the plot and character motivations I have never before seen in fanfiction and I applaud your amazing talent. Why you are not writing mainstream fiction bewilders me. Your outline for the plot and subplots must have been daunting when you sat down and began to craft the story into a whole, again I am amazed. That being said you left so much unanwered. Where is Ron, what happens next, what adventures await on the island off the coast of Wales, and of course where do Hermione and Severus go from here? I know you said there is a book two in the offing. Is this still the case? I imagine it takes quite a while to outline a book of this magnitude, just wondering if you still intend to follow up. If the answer is no, then be so proud of your work as it stands, an exceptional read.

This is totally under-reviewed and under-read.

It is absolutely magnificent. The background you've created, and the way you've woven the details throughout the entire story - there are no words to adequately discribe the wonderfullness that is this story.

Un**ingbelieveable.

Wow.

Seriously, this story was frankly amazing. The depth of detail, and the development of the characters- particularly Snape's perceptions of Hermione were just fantastic :) I don't think I've read a better agenda fic- the subversiveness of all the characters and the interwoven loyalties and games were just fantastically done.

Wonderful work. You've got my applause! Please tell me a sequel is coming!

I came back tonight to re-read this story. It deserves multiple reads from everyone, and I know I'll be back to read it again and again. While I understand ffn policy of limiting reviews to one per chapter it does limit my ability to thank you for the time and energy which went into this story.

I hope that there will be a sequel some day but the story is full and complete within itself.
