A great story. I liked the part where Mac was sitting at Flack's bedside and thinking.

I was amazed that this episode and the end scene did not produce more fiction. Such an emotionaly charged episode with so much going on. I love your take on this its perfect. Mac has shown time and again that he cannot let go of the past. It haunts him, we see that when he treats Flack and later when he talks to Stella.

I think you story is excellent and a very nice insight into the way Mac's mind is working here. And the last line OMG. I dont know how or if Mac would cope if he lost someone else that he cared about.
