Cool oneshot!

What a sweet and useful birthday present! I can just imagine John sending that to him, but both of them still stubborn and refusing to budge. I wonder if Dean sent him anything.

Cute almost-reconciliation. I really liked how it was John that called, and that even if he misses his family and *does* love his father, the irritation comes immediately. I also liked how they both obviously have unresolved issues, but still--they do care.

Awesome oneshot. I reckon the care package and call was just John's way of telling Sammy he still loved him, even if they did holler at each other. It took a lot for John not to lose it and tell Sam to "be careful"

While that is an interesting look on the John/Sam relationship you completly cut out Dean. You wrote as if there was no brother.

Sure you MENTIONED him but that was not really Dean. Dean loves his brother enough to sell his soul for him, to only have a year left to live and doesn't see anything wrong with that. Dean would always care for Sam. Sam has left him! That has hurt him. And Sam has to know that... well... perhaps not... he can be pretty blind when he want s to be... too much like his father.

Otherwise I like (but I'm a Dean girl: Sorry for having to complain, but...).
