I love this fic. Its so sad but with a happy ending... totally brought tears to my eyes. But then again I tend to cry over anything that's sad.

The beginning (where you briefly describe everything Helga came through) was terrible. I thought that I'm reading yet one trash story written to offend readers -- I almost stopped reading myseld, and I'm afraid many readers didn't go any further. The main part of the story is much better of course. Though, taking into consideration Helga's story you told I'm surprised that she showed up at graduation night at all, all the more in a beautiful dress.

Very good exchanges here, and nice job describing Helga's situation. Certainly, she and Arnold complement each other; she keeps him in the real world, and he allows her to dream and have faith and hope.

Keep the good writing.

It's like reading a piece of my own life, although my Arnold never gave me a happy ending. He doesn't know I exist, I think.

I won't sugarcoat and say that life gets better when you get older because there will always be shitty times, but I will say that you may find something that will give you hope. I did, eventually, and even though I'm still constantly sad and hurt, I do find peace and happiness sometimes. It's those times I live for.
