I could well imagine Johanna's frustration at someone persisting in intruding on her private moment - she did an admirable job at keeping her temper! And, thank you for once again keeping Tres in character. Yes, he would truly be hard put to understand the reasons behind such a free-spirited performance - his concluding obervations were spot on.
