An update! Loved this one, David's definitely developing his human traits. Especially enjoyed his growing sarcasm. :]

The idea of him working a Flesh Fair was great, I never would have thought of that, but it's just such a great reflection of the film. It absolutely got me going, I was just about as worked up as David was.

Oh! And if David does get to Rouge City, I'm dying with excitement to see how his interaction with Dr. Know will be different this time. Mostly because he knows now that Dr. Know is a tricky one. Can't wait!

P.S. Sorry about the incoherency of my last post, I found this fiction late at night and decided only to read a couple chapters before bed but wound up reading the whole thing and just had to post a review when I finished at 6 in the morning. :]

A.I. is one of my favorite movies and I'm so glad that this fiction really almost travels the same coherent thought. In a way. I loved it stemmed from a fantasy in the real world into a realistic story in a fantastic world. David never really gets his happily ever after.

That now he's most likely never going to be the same wide-eyed David robot that loved Monica, he may start realizing his love for her was programmed. A woman who abandoned him and used him as a replacement for her real son, but he still loves her, not really having a choice. Yet, he still keeps going, kind of unreasonably.

Also experiencing REAL human emotion for the first time. Even though he was created to copy that, we realize the experiment was a failure because NOW he's really learning emotion, let alone the physical tribulations of human life.

I really love this story, seriously. I'm completely taken. I could go on and on about what I'm thinking but nothing will compare to what you actually have in mind. Can't wait for the next update!

Okay just got done checking this out, but I have to say you got it but I am also speaking as a person who writes cyberpunk fiction. It's just hard to review fan fiction after one's been published with writing horror and science fiction stories.

It's an okay one but finding the short story originally written and published in Wired magazine, you might have done the story based off the screen story. Not too shabby, but this is coming from a guy who writes original science fiction and horror. I learned how to write science fiction from reading fan fiction, but a lot of my ideas were researched from reading Tabloids.

I am curious to see what you can do in the territory of original science fiction. If you can do this kind of story and keep it as a nod to the guy who created the short story "Super-Toys Last All Summer Long."

You have his influence, but see what you can do when writing a short story with all your characters and concept. I wrote a cyberpunk story that brought Phillip K. Dick back for one part of it as a hologram greeting one of the characters.

I have to say you do have something here, and will say keep it going.

I love the new chapter! I can't believe Martin is back! What will happen next? I hope he takes David to Monica and doesn't fill his head with lies, but that would make that story more interesting...As long as he and Monica are together in the end I will be fine. Please update soon! :)

I am a big fan of AI and I love what you have done with it. DAVID IS ALIVE! I cried during the part with the blue fairy in AI and I'm so glad that David is alive. I hope he finds Monica and Joe. Or you could make it a sad where he dies, but after he finds Monica,that would work too. Keep up the good work! :)

Amazing story. I especially liked the way you wrote Angelo's end. I hope you keep writing this, I'd love to find out what happens.

"Alive" is so compelling! Such a damned good story! I have no idea Jeggs was mecha! I thought he was some old hick out in the woods! And Lord Johnson Johnson being a "God" to the mecha? Dang! Who'd ever think that?!

Wow, I have to admit, this is way better than any "A.I" fanfiction I've ever written... then again, I haven't written one in going on 3 years.

I admire your writing style and I like how you made David react to becoming "real." I also like the interaction between him and Angelo, it's real cool!
