True, I wish you’d done a few more stories set around Katrin growing up- maybe a few episode rewrites, for example; it might have been interesting to see her reaction to Rodney manifesting his mental abilities after exposure to the DNA Requencer in “The Tao of Rodney”, for example-, but at least you still have her at an age where she’s fundamentally childish here rather than jump straight to her being an adult, which leaves us with a very interesting view on Atlantis as a result.
The plot you developed for this story was just as interesting as your last one was; the concept of the Lantor in particular was a rather intriguing one, creating an intriguing Ancient-based idea that the Wraith could relatively easily exploit in the present.
And as for your use of Michael...
GOD, that man’s a bastard; you can JUST about understand his need to protect himself from his once-fellow Wraith- as well as his desire for revenge on the Atlantis expedition for ‘creating’ him in the first place-, but when he starts going after innocent people like Katrin just to satisfy his own desires, he goes so far over the line that (To partly quote Joey Tribbianni) “The line is a DOT to him!”
He might go on about how he does what he does simply to survive, but if he just wanted to live he could hide out on a planet somewhere and bury the Stargate; what he is AFTER is galactic domination, and no fine words about having been ‘forced’ into this position will change that fact.
Plus, of course, your explanation for how Michael was blocking Atlantis’s Stargate- as well as how they managed to ‘override’ it in order to allow them to infiltrate his base- was very well thought-out; congratulations are DEFINITELY in order in that regard.
And as for the conclusion...
Sucks that the IOA got what they wanted in the end, but at least Elizabeth gets to remain in the city and they put someone decent in charge; no matter how Woolsey’s changed, Daniel is a MUCH better choice of leader than he is.

(I’d have preferred it with a few elements of Sam/Daniel in the plot, but that’s just personal preference rather than anything else; you still had them both on Atlantis, which is the main thing in the end).

Oh, goodie, goodie, goodie! Happy ending! See, there is something to be said for not having to wait for the chapters to come up, though I admit, I do prefer a regular fix of FF rather than all in one gulp, but I just couldn't help myself and read it all today. Besides, it's a nice change from the real world!! I really loved how you worked to this ending. I like that Daniel is coming to run the city, I always adored him and I think it would be fascinating to see him in control of Atlantis on a long-term basis. I loved your plot, hands down it was great. And of course, I just loved the ending! I think you write John and Elizabeth so well and so plausibly. Thanks for sharing!!

Well, this is me back again... and SenseOfTime, I'm glad there's already an ending to this story because at the moment...! Michael and John are marvellous, I mean, not themselves, but how you've written them. I don't know if I'll review every chapter, I just want to read it through and see how it ends!

I absolutely LOVED this!! I read To Save a Child and it was one of my fave Sparky SGA fics! Then I read this and I love it 500 times more than To Save a Child! That has to mean something! lol!

And the scene where John and Elizabeth told each other that they loved each other was ADORABLE! *grin*

Just yesterday I´ve finished your first fic ´To save a child´ and I can safely say it´s one of the best John/Elizabeth fics I´ve ever read...and I read a lot;-D So right now, I´m really looking forward to this sequel and I´m very interested in what the plot will be. aw it's over already? wow, the ending was completely perfect, hm so are you totally done? or will there be another in this series?
