Wow...what a profound piece of writing! I immensely enjoyed reading this. The way you tied in the title was brilliant as well. Vegeta's perception of reality is indeed "Distorted." Your opening drew me in right from the start...at first, I assumed that Veggie's father was beating him, but as you know, that wasn't how it worked...

Either way, this is absolute genius, one of the best one-shots I've ever read. I'd like to see you make a series out of this...similar oneshots with glimpses like this of young Vegeta's life. Great work, and thanks for the wonderful read!
