Awesome! Completely awesome.
Epi Lepi 1/26/06 . chapter 2
This is the third time I'm reading this fic (first time on this site though) and this chapter is always one of my favorites. I love the car chase in this chapter and the Spike/Xander friendship throughout this fic.

Hmm, I don't know what's going on with ff.net, but when choosing PG-13 / spike / buffy, this fic appears on the front page. Apparently there's some date glitch happening. But seeing this fic made me want to mention how much I love your work. Lately (the past year or two) I've made comments on Allaboutspike.com (because I love its review system and the fact that there's no censorship involved), but I thought I'd share some love here too. I check your site often, hoping for updates. And your fics (RitS, NE, PoM) are some of the few I enjoy rereading.
Anyone checking out this fic for the first time, wondering if it's worth your valuable time, the answer is a resounding YES!

Excellent fic. I can't believe I haven't stumbled upon it earlier. The characters personality were very well expressed. And the dialogue is cute and witty while the character is still there. This fic deserves more recognition than ever. Congratulations
Escape Velocity 7/12/03 . chapter 10
Having re-read this piece of fanfic for about the third time, I was stunned I hadn't yet reviewed.

Your plot is truly dynamic; fast, furious and yet suffused with details that make it more than just a swift series of events.

Characterisation is pitch perfect; you do not contradict what's on the show and yet you develop it much, much further, more deeply. Emotions are raw and real, everyone acts the way they would...outstanding. Your characterisation of Hank Summers was particularly excellent - he wasn't turned into a villain *or* a saint, just a very real, realistic man.

And oh, how I *love* your dialogue - it's witty, it's fun, it's revealing and it's in character.

I too was reading Necessary Evils, and loving it (quick aside - please write more soon!). I wasn't too interested in reading a story that Buffy was actually dead in, but since I was enjoying NE so much I decided to come back and read this one. I love your characterisation of Spike in particular, but all the characters are really well done. Keep writing!

I cannot believe this story hasn't had more recognition. It's wonderfully well written and I can't wait to start on the sequel. Brilliant characterisations, especially Hank, considering we've only seen him a few times.

I was partway through "Necessary Evils" when I couldn't stand it anymore and had to backtrack to read "A Raising in the Sun". I've read many extremely well-written series now, but though some are beautifully executed on paper they wouldn't hold up as a real eppy. Your work unfolds in my head just like the real deal. Characters are true to the show, and action and dialog are both snappy.

this story and the following are absolutely wonderful-imaginative, refreshing, well-written! Joss-worthy! thank you for giving me my fix during the long break between seasons-

This was excellant. Truely a work of art. I am surprised you have so little reviews. Please keep writing.
Hi 12/18/01 . chapter 10
Wow.

That's pretty much all I can articulate.

Fantastic! A great, involved, and very logical plot, and the characterizations are spot on. Your writing's wonderful; this is one of those great reads that keeps you up into the wee hours because you HAVE to see how it ends. And now there's a sequel to keep me up even later. ;-) Great work!
Teleri 9/26/01 . chapter 10
Oh, that was so well done. I'd like you to know I lost an entire day of work to read this and it was worth every millisecond. The treatment of Spike and Willow and Hank was wonderful, you captured the essence of what the show is all about, if Joss can do his bring Buffy back half as good as this. A summer of waiting will be worth it. Great Job.
Verity 9/4/01 . chapter 10
This story had me completely enthralled. Characterisations were excellent - just as good as the scriptwriters, if not better. Looking forward to the next story.
Elena Zovatto 8/25/01 . chapter 10
Excellent, as usual. Some of the best Spike characterization I have ever had the pleasure of reading. And seeing Hank Summers dealt with in a reasonable and even sympathetic manner is a rare treat. I've been recommending this and Boys Night Out to whoever will listen.
