Excellent. They never can do things the easy way. I like the fishing, the moms and tots, the slow-piecemeal moving together, the pulling of the boy out of the lake, the fight over getting her out of the wet clothes, the way they come together through all the pain and hurt. Nicely done.

What a beautiful story! A big sigh - Jack hurt Sam so badly & he also healed her so gently. I had skipped this story previously. Tonight I decided to read it because it was in Strix's favorite story list. I am glad I did.

How did I miss this! Wonderfully written, painful story - poor Sam but Jack, even if he is an ass sometimes, loves her.

This story is just amazing! I love it, it made me laugh and cry, espically the latter, though most of them happy tears. Very in character, and very believeable, keep up the great work, can't wait to read more of your stuff, thank you!

Janet...I really think this is your best story yet! Deep and confusing enough at first to be intriguing...with a great climax and a satisfying ending. I honestly liked it better on second read than I did on the first!
