These are wonderful and each stands alone very well. I love how you write the two of them and you make each scenario seem plausible. Awesome work.

This one is a real joy. I found the flirting amusing and altogether realistic. Here you have them each a match for the other. The game with identities works to the advantage of the plot, as does the deftly handled background - noises, odours, etc. You are getting better at these morsels as you go along. Bravo!

"Priests came from all walks of life, Gippal had heard. He wondered where Baralai had walked before this." - What an excellent pair of sentences. Nicely phrased.
You are having a marvelous time with these variations and seem to have gotten past the one-sidedness you were concerning yourself about.
Leavening this one with the spice of danger and the hint of sexual pillage added greatly to the intensity of the scenario and the last sentence gave a neat little twist.

Delightful!!
