bcbdrums 2008-03-20 . chapter 1I cannot decide if your gift lies more with poetry or in story-writing. I will say I am more moved by your poetry, and hope that you will publish more. |
KCS 2008-01-31 . chapter 1O-o-o-o, I'm glad I decided to get on your profile and check to see if I'd missed anything of yours.
Estranged from peace till all be done,
The security of the world upon the one,
The safety of the one upon the other,
For this friend sticketh closer than a brother.
Sent shivers up my spine! Pleasant ones, of course! This belongs right beside Mollie Hardwick's
"As night decends upon this fabled street,
The gaslights fail for twenty feet.
...And here, though the world explode, these two survive,
And it is always - 1895."
Anyhow, something like that - I loved your first stanza especially - summed up the whole Baker Street world in one lovely four-liner.
Well done!

MoonlitPuddle 2007-06-09 . chapter 1Ah, very nice! I specially like this bit:
"The security of the world upon the one,
The safety of the one upon the other,"
That sums them both up really well. Mae carnen with knobs on! |
Susicar 2007-06-01 . chapter 1Lovely, deep, lovely, *sigh* well done, and thank for sharing.

A.K.Rai 2007-06-01 . chapter 1Very nice. It all fits together perfectly, and I like the way youve based it on a quote. |
