I understand your sentiments completely, but I hope that you at least finish the Chuun Exams, nonetheless. My suggestion is to leave Naruto for a year, then come back to it. It worked with me and my Harry Potter fanfic. :)
A note on your story: why can't the Yondaime talk to Narue in Konoha? I noticed that the only times he spoke to her was during the mission on the outside.

Probably the second best female Naruto fic I've ever read. (The undisputed best is "Shadow and Flame")

Given how rare good female Naruto fics are, I hope you find time to write more soon.

I especially liked how you had Yugito end up taking Haku in. I've never seen anything like that before and it made it especially amusing when Haku said “I’m not permitted to disclose that information, I’m sorry,”

Of course, I don't think I've ever seen Naruto, male or female, ever get the Hiraishin that early either. :)

Oh and you made a small error in the "bell test" chapter when Kakashi goes "To see what happens next. Duh." or somthing like that insted of saying "He said" it says "She Said" making it look like Narue said it ..

Not only is your story entertaining (have spent most of my evening finishing all the chapters) but your female Naruto is believable. I've read many female naruto stories and yours is one of the few who were able to make the transformation from male to female work
