Hm. My fellow reviewer is correct on the sunset/timing issue, but that's a minor point. I like how you're setting it up so far. I wonder if Jyou is going to have any free will or if he'll just be a tortured pawn. Either one could be very interesting to see. I hope you are able to update soon. I look forward to seeing more of this.

Not quite as fluid as your last Digimon piece, but still a great read. You capture Joe's voice beautifully in the little space you've written--I'm quite envious!

Unfortunately, there's one inconsistency--however moot--that bothered me a great deal; you mention that it's too late to be making social calls, but the sun is just going down. I've rarely seen the sun go down after 7 (even in the summer), and I'd hardly call it unacceptable to make social calls at that hour.

However, in this short chapter, you've managed to completely pique my interest, though vampire fics are usually not my thing. I eagerly anticipate your next installment!

(Also, one quick question: why did Gomamon die when Joe was bitten? Did Jou die in the moment he was bitten by Myotismon, but was resurrected by the immortality that comes with vampyrism? Just curious!)
