Nytd 2008-07-18 . chapter 1Oh this was wonderful!
Lyrical and beautifully written, you obviously put great care into the writing and the consideration of each of the Black Pearl's masters.
I like how you echo the sentiments Barbossa has in Loathsome when she hears what he first says about her. Proper piratical potential, indeed.
There's a line from the old Ghost and Mrs. Muir movie where Captain Gregg tells of the ship he had and says "she sailed more sweetly for me than any other master."
I imaging both Barbossa and Sparrow would like to make that claim.
Lovely job!
Cheers!

Dara Natalia 2007-06-05 . chapter 1Loved it! Very moving. You have a talent. It was beautiful and inspiring and whatever similar word you can think of. Anyway, I liked it. Keep up the good work. |
catgirlutah 2007-06-03 . chapter 1Liked it, I did. I like how you characterized Barbossa as the wolf. Rather interesting symbolism there. He was a wolf in sheep's clothing before the mutiny. I also liked her description of her fiery death. And how easily she forgot about Jack when Barbossa took over. And the nod to Pearl. I liked that, too. -nods- This one piece has a very interesting and unique perspective. I enjoyed it very much and am, once again, awed by your superb ability to command the English language. Keep up the marvelous work!
