Wow, I loved it. This route is a bit different than most death fics, which revolve around Alec dying and Max realizing her feelings too late. I liked reading the opposite, how Alec would react if Max were to die. The way this piece was written fit perfectly in with Alec's confusion and anger. It has a certain tone that I can't really describe, but it's definitely there. I'm not sure if that's just your style or if you wrote like that specifically for this story, but either way it's great.

I liked how he visited Rachel's grave to avoid Max's funeral. A strange, almost inexplicable act, but yet it makes sense at the same time. Once again, it fits his mood. And finally admitting that he wasn't alright was great, as was the way he kissed his fingers and pressed them to her headstone. Very poignant and sad.

Great job! Now I'm gonna have to check and see if you've written anymore Dark Angel.
