John was feeling in the mood to argue. He was tired of being told what to do. Tired of being told he was going to be fine when he didn't feel fine. Everything and everyone was too loud and too cold and too confusing.

I can relate TOTALLY...
After I had my second brain surgery, I had a massive collapse.
It happened just one day after they discharged me...
I woke up in ICU wishing they had not saved me.
I did not want to hear it anymore. That is what they told me
after the first surgery...
And it did not quit...
From ICU I went to step down (ie post ICU)
for another 10 days and then to six weeks of skilled nursing...
I left AMA.
In all of the above, I was never left alone, never allowed
any freedom...
I can relate totally to how Sheppard reacted;
everything was too loud, too cold and too confusing.

I just love the last two sentences of Chapter 16...
I believe of all the ones who have the Ancient gene,
he is the one she desires the most to see and feel...

Woot! The plot thickens - Sheppard is in real trouble, and now McKay. Knew that Purdie was up to no good, but didn't see the bit coming with Kel.

This is getting intriguing, especially with the trip back to Earth. Just love that Rodney was adamant in accompanying John! And Rodney's gut reaction to Purdie? Purdie sounds like bad news. And Asgards? very cool!

I love this fic! It's awesome! First of all, all the John-whumping. Secondly, his connection to Atlantis. I'm a sucker for that, and you did it in a cool way. I like it better if Atlantis is not suddenly an AI doing it's own thing and working against the Atlantis Expedition people and all that stuff. Also, the team dynamics were very well done, and I especially liked the John/Rodney stuff. That was so sweet, sad, heart-wrenching, and sometimes maddening. I loved it. Now I'm gonna check out the sequel. Oh, I love long fics, and long fics with sequels even more so...

Love the cliffhangar ending! Oh this story oozed h/c and now you have some real peril! And looky here, I can go start Fade to Black...Ha! Hahahahaha!

Wow I was gonna read the sequel because of the Kolya part. I am such a sucker for Kolya fics, when I read the author's note saying I needed to read this one first. Wow, three hours later I finished this one and can't wait to move on to the next part.

Holy freakin' crap, this is so good. I can't wait to read what comes next. Hee hee, ah amazing work!

What a great fic. Very interesting plot with the asgard and the doctor. Poor John, always with the whumpage. Can't to read what else you have written. Keep it up.

*sniff* okay I know all stories have to end, I just don't have to like it when awesome stories end before I'm ready to let go. Great story idea, great telling and I can not wait for more.

Now that is one evil cliffhanger! What a great way to end this chapter and tale. I’m so glad Sheppard is back to feeling like himself again, you guys really took him on a ride and it looks like it is only just beginning!

Cliffhangers are good. So, I'm fine with that. And the next story is worth the wait. And something else about the tone of this story but I can't seem to put my finger on it.
