Very, very cool. This was interesting.

This is a pretty good, well thought out story. Never figured Maya's character could be used as a evil villian, double props for that.

I think you should do a second part to this story, it would be nice to see.

It's always nice to reread an old favorite. But I've found a couple things you might want to fix on your next revision.

First of all, I managed to identify Misato's duty weapon. It's a Heckler and Koch USP. I'm not sure what it's chambered in - logic would suggest 9 millimeter, but I only counted twelve rounds in the magazine when she draws it in End of Evangelion, which suggests .45 ACP. The hammer shape, safety position, slide release, barrel design, and integrated rail clearly mark it as a USP though. It's also not a USP compact - the magazine floorplate is all wrong.

Secondly, the HK P7M8 (its proper name) is a hammerless weapon. It's striker fired and is cocked by squeezing the grip, so Shinji couldn't have possibly thumbed the hammer back.

Keep up the great fics!

It was one of the most realistic Shinji/Hikari stories i've read. If not the most. I liked everything about it. If you plan on a sequel go right ahead. 10 out of 10. Sayonara.

Simply Wow...

Lots of cute scenes with Kodama, and overall the whole thing was clean and easy to read letting the emotions portrayed actually take effect.

Also - awesome ending, who in thier right mind would guess that 'person' would be the one to betray them!

I LOVED this one! I kind of have a soft spot for Hikari, (I'm a sucker for the girl next door), and I always thought that Hikari was a better match for Shinji than anyone else, (and vise-versa).

If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to add an epilog in which Toji goes to the NERV ten-year-reunion and having recieved a new leg from a limb donor, (go on and check 1998LyonFranceLimbDonor to find the facts behind this procedure), is "whole" again and wants to attend to make amends with Hikari and puick up where he left off afterwards only to find out at the reunion that Shinji and Hikari are married and have two kids now. The result is a tense reunion that that is bittersweet for Toji. I can't help but feel that it is needed for Toji to see what he would've had if he had relized that the reason that Hikari loved him was the person inside, regardless of how many legs he had.

I hope to hear whatever feedback you have on this. Keep up the good work.

Evil Maya is cool.

I just knew that the pregnancy thing was coming... from the minute they had sex, it was fairly obvious. That said, it makes a nice ending, and leaves the story open for an epilogue.

"If you fuck with the best you die like the rest", that is the main theme of this beuatiful story. Shinji wasgreat, especially with his now carefree pissed off mood with a gun, and his metal gear solid like attitude, it was great. And Hikari slowly falling in love with him as Toiji started feeling sorry for himself and believeing the fact that he couldn't love her like he wanted to... it was great. I can't wait to hear more from you Random.

A gunslinging Shinji, that's a new idea... Anyway, major props to your story. I can tell that there's a lot of effort going into, esp. how you concentrate on character relationships other than Shinji/Hikari. (though theirs is certainly good, too) Feel kinda sorry for Touji, though; he's really screwing himself over. Here's hoping that he'll pull though in one way or another

Definately one of the best writers on the net. Your style is nearly impecable. A few out of place words but your stories are excelent.

Awesome fic.I was waiting for the 4th chapter for a while but it was worth the the way you had Hikari piloting was a strange but excellent up the good always enjoyed them.
