You're going to make me a Lucien-Abby shipper yet. You did an awesome job getting in Lucien's head, teasing out his thoughts. I like how he doesn't pretend with her - doesn't tell her he's sorry about Luka when he's not, doesn't pretend he doesn't know what she wants in the alley. And Abby. Wow. She was awesome. So not what you would expect in this type of situation, but still seeming very much like her. Nice job. Excellent job all. Can't wait to see what happens next -

His equipment is obviously working just fine, since Abby got him a "hooker" after his surgery. Know something about the show and the characters before you go leaving idiotic reviews on someone's fic. Smuckerbutt, nice choice of words. /sarcasm I swear, I don't understand why people bother to read fic they obviously don't enjoy.

Not only is there the emotional angst Abby's going through, the whole conflicted hotness of the forbidden (or simple in bad taste) sex, but also Lucien's self-loathing over it all. He definitely comes across as someone who tortures himself for having feelings and acting upon them. As for the writing, I like that you are tackling this from both perspectives. I think otherwise we'd only get to see half the story.

Beaglicious 2007-06-07 ch 1,	abuseArgh! That was so good! I was wondering how you were going to pull off DubenkoAbby, but you did it splendidly, just splendidly. Of course, you had me hooked from the moment I read the cryptic summary. Wow! I don't know if I've read a fic where Luka dies in the Ames showdown, and definitely know that I haven't read one with such dark Luby undertones - which is compliment to both your creativity and writing capabilities! Every part of this story was fantastic - from Abby wondering if it's bad to feel worse for herself than for him, and then deciding she doesn't care - the priest's awkwardness at categorizing Abby, and her realization that even his classification "mother of his child" is not unique to her alone - to the bit of sardonic humor that was just perfect: "Besides, she tried marriage once and she doesnt intend to go down that road again. The drive made her carsick." It was all very much in sync with the way Abby thinks. My heart broke for Abby as she went through all the things she wasn't to Luka, right down to the very poignant last lines where she realizes the one thing that she was to him. Dang! No wonder she was kissing on Dubenko. Like I said, a perfect job of some dark Luby and DubenkoAbby. Fabulously well-done!
Bel Vezer 2007-06-06 ch 1,	abuseWell that was downright depressing. And if it weren't written so well, I think I would hate it. But your style is fantastic. You're clearly a very competent writer. Great job. I'm not a Dubenko/Abby (Dubby?) shipper in the least, but your story was most definitely touching and intriguing. Great job. And I could be wrong but I believe the whore line is in reference to their break-up scene in "The Longer You Stay."
