And I liked how neatly the title tied into the premise of the fic. I'm afraid I can't join in on the general praise of your OC; I didn't see much more in him than the old, flat stereotype of a naive boy soldier. But of course he wasn't the focus of the fic so much as a lens through which to view Enjolras and Grantaire, and you did a good job of that. I would much, much rather see a naive-boy-soldier OC than a naive-boy-soldier Enjolras, so kudos for that, and for having your Frenchboys go out in style. |

| Arduenna 2007-06-07 ch 1, | abuseThis was amazing. It honestly was. I love how you characterised Aubin, and how he viewed Enjolras. I really liked the bit where he was watching Enjolras smile. It was beautifully done. The gaurds seem so hesistant to shot Enjolras, so this really fits in with canon. And my plan to write drabbles? Probably not for a while. I've just gone back to school, and our summer holidays aren't for 7 weeks, and that's probably when I'll get a chance to write them, since school keeps me rather busy. But I promise you I'll write something in the summer. ^_^ BTW, I've added you to my favourite authors list. |

I like the portrayal of the frightened guardsman, because personally I've always wondered why a comment like that would be made when they were about to execute somebody. GAAH...can't think about Enjolras dead...or the rest of them. That's why they LIVE in my story...well, most of them...anyway, always enjoy reading your posts! |
