This ficlet has heart, and a lot of solid writing. I confess I don't have much interest in Snitch, but I like your angsty Itey. I typically see him as one of the non-slashable Newsies, but you did a fine and believable job with him here. "...knuckles meeting like a jigsaw puzzle in the hills and recesses," was a lovely description and you last line was sweet!

I really like this.

There is nothing sweeter than Snitey, but you’ve taken it to the next level. This wasn’t syrupy sweet and cotton candy fluff.

Your Itey in turmoil was an interesting and welcome change.

This part was shocking and heartbreaking:

“Said ‘Frankie, you watch this’ and then killed his father.”

Favorite lines:

“The strong scent of boys hung heavily in the air as they surged towards the street. It smelled like sweat, feet, and that earthly, salty smell that every boy seemed to have.”

...So what happened to you not writing Newsies fics anymore or whatnot? Not that I'm complaining mind you :)

So Snitey isn't my favorite pairing. In fact, I generally don't like the pairing. But my God I loved this fic. I liked it's simplicity and I liked that it was told (more or less) from Itey's perspective, even though it was in third person.
