I loved how deeply you delved into Jean-Paul's head - so many conflicting emotions and motivations. The parallel you created relating Pietro feelings towards Wanda enriched the story a lot. Male-female sibling relationships, like all intimate human interactions, are complex and often reveal the child-like, vulnerable, and selfish sides of people along with essential understanding. No one understands a person better than a close sister or brother and no one else has as much psychological/emotional ammunition if conflict arises. Your characters feel very real.

I really love this one, mainly because of Jean-Paul and the whole situation with him, his sister, and Warren, but I can't get Jeanne-Marie. Maybe I will when her side comes out, but at the moment, and this is just my opinion, she's looking a little retarded.

Ah, sublime. A JP/JM story I have been waiting an eternity to read or write. Thank you ever so much.

Hey, I'm just after reading your profile. You're from Washington! My sister moved there a couple of months ago. Apparantly you guys blow snow out of all logical proportion and pick up strangers at bus stops so you can ride something called the HOV. Well...whatever floats your boat.

On to the story. I loved it. I've never read of this Jean-Paul before but he is packing some serious angsty attitude and it's supercool. Great dialouge. It's clever and original. Love the descriptions. And all the characters I know of are really in character. In all brilliant story. Bye now.

Oh, poor angsty Jean-Paul, how we love thee. Seriously, I was floored by the way you described the issues between the Beaubiers. Simply fantastic. No one could should be able to get away with some of Jean-Paul's lines to Aurora, yet he does. Amazing.

Also, I must say that it was nice to see that even though Jean-Paul's relationship with his sister has practically dissolved, he still has friends like Rogue and Pietro looking out for him. I loved his interactions with them.

The ending was bittersweet and suited them perfectly. That is all.

I couldn't resist adding my bit to the reviews (not that you don't know my opinion on this chapter already, but... still!)

The bits of insertion for the last scene really cleared that up perfectly, so that was awesome!

That was the only halfway new thing I had to say. Other than that, Jean Paul is an arse, bordering on creepy obsessed arse. (Which of course is why we love him...). "No one will ever love you like I do..."

Creepy!! But I'd told you that already, and seeing as it's kinda the point, many congratulations to you for being able to make said point without alienating the empathy people have for the character. That's a hard line to stay on (even with JP), and you pwned it.

I also now cannot wait for JM's story, because I'm a little in love with her now (and not just because she's the epitome of hot! Really not!)

I finally got the time to read all of these new chapters and I just want to say WOW. The stories were so well-built and the emotions were very realistic. Wanda's ending was perfectly resolved, and I really empathized with Jean-Paul in this chapter. His situation their situation is still really heart-wrenching, but from his perspective especially it seemed like he was suffering alone, making it even harder. I also loved the interactions between Pietro and Jean-Paul and Rogue and Jean-Paul, especially. I'll be waiting for more chapters!

*sniffs*

I feel so, so bad for Jean-Paul, reading this. Which he would hate to know, naturally, but it's true nonetheless. I knew the goal of "Thicker than Water" going into it, but...it's still very sad to see the Beaubiers broken like this.

And so very apt.

Love it as always!
