I'm not a fan of slash or anything else of the sort, but I was interested in the summary, and since I was still haunted by the last vestiges of my depression after having read Ptolemy's Gate (it's been about a week or so), I decided to give this fic a try.

And boy, was it great. So there ARE times when I can tolerate things I normally don't. I was hooked in Bartimaeus's and Ptolemy's discussion about the whole spirit reproduction thing, since I too have been wondering about that. And the characterizations were very accurate, and this was, ultimately, an enjoyable read. ;D
