I'm a total sucker for John and Rodney friendship, and I love seeing the boys protecting each other. You write their friendship beautifully, just the right combination of caring and snark.

Laura-trekkie 2007-07-02 ch 1,	abuseApologies for the late fb. I printed this off and took it on holiday with me, intending to leave fb when I got home...and then forgot :(. Still, I've finally remembered, so: Great story. The whumpage was nicely worrying and angsty and I loved the cameraderie, how it was concern for the other man that kept them going, rather than concern for themselves. It's expected from John, but there're a lot of people who'd be surprised to see that level of concern for another from Rodney. Of course, we know better :). There were some very touching moments and some splendidly snarky ones and the banter was great as always (when John was up to it, of course). Great stuff.

Kristen999 2007-06-17 ch 1,	abuseThis was excellent. I really enjoyed that Rodney had to take care of John trough a harrowing road back to the Gate. Rodney never gave up, doing everything in his power to keep them both alive in the middle of the war zone. It was nice to see him take on the brunt of the responsibility with John unable to. It was cool to use flashbacks, nice way to break things up and you didn't needlessly go over every detail of their captivtiy since this was a one shot, and not a lareger fic. I was impressed by this image, very, very tense and I felt so bad for the colonel.: Maybe it was the use of the word “stupid”, but the interrogator dug the cherry end of the still-hot cigarette into Sheppard's other shoulder blade with relish, keeping it there until John whimpered. He then lit another stick and dotted John's back with a few more burns before flipping him over and placing a knife to the pilot's chest right below the hollow of his throat. “Do I need to cut out his heart? Is that what it will take?” He put pressure on the knife. A bead of blood fattened out of the wound. John grunted, choking back a scream. Despite the horror of the experience you kept the humor and banter, including the Pilsbury comment. Very nice

It was so sad, reading the two of them got the crap beaten out of them that way and John had his back hurt severely. Thanks for making him well again in the end, it would have broken my heart, otherwise. Great!
