Reviews for Dead Men Walking

I love your Bobby, he's gruff and caring and a little rough around the edges. I can so see him blundering through trying to help Sam feel better. The comparison to the dog, lol, definately something I can see Bobby thinking. I'm glad that he told Sam that it was good to have him back. Poor Sam, needed to hear that, even though it will not take away the guilt. At least he won't feel as if he's alone in his quest to save Dean, especially once he finds out the details of the deal.

Bobby is the father they really need at this time! I love him. Great story.

I love this story. Like, LOVE. Even though Dean wasn't there, this conversation between Sammy and Bobby is definitely needed. Bobby might not have sewed Sammy up, but he certainly did patch his little wounded heart up with the words, the strength and the codeine. Sammy needed this talk, badly, or he would just lose his brains out on the table brooding over it.

Thank you!

Great story! You managed to show so much emotions there with so little words. Very well done. And I had to smile at the reference to morphine Sam :-)

It isn't a DDG because well, I don't have ANY, but I do have a HUGE grin on my face right now.

So well done!

“Look Sam, I might not agree with what Dean did but, just so you know… it is damn good to have you back again.” And then he turned and walked out of the kitchen before the kid could say anything else.

So say we all.

Ah, Bobby. He is one cool dude. I enjoyed having the tag told from his point of view. Somehow it's more fun seeing Sam from other characters' minds. Sam can convey more with a simple look than with a whole myriad of words, especially when dealing with physical or emotional pain. And after the events of the finale, he sure is dealing with a crapload of both.

-You know one of these days, you boys are going to be the death of me- Oh, Bobby. Bad choice of words. lol

Sam's grief over the deal Dean made is so real, so gutwrenching. I loved Sam's comment-It wasn’t worth it, Bobby… Not to me-. The world just isn't a place worth living in without having his brother at his side. Nice echo of Dean's sentiments in the finale!

Man, why can't the show ever write stuff like this? I would love to see this tag acted out. Oh well. I guess I'll have to settle with reading your delicious work instead. )

Awesome job, as usual!

OMG! That was so good and I have been waiting for someone to post a tag about how Bobby would tell Sam he knew. And can I just say that I am liking Bobby a whole lot more this past season and I hope he keeps coming back. Oh and as usual your Bobby was exactly what I would expect him to be like with the depth that writing always brings. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, like Dean, Sam was still hurt when he woke up (back, shoulder, side)...glad you gave us a scene for that!

Great job! I loved it!

Really enjoyed that tag, could just imagine it actually happening! Bobby is such a parent to the boys, a much needed one, and Sam really needed to hear what he had to say! And the point of Dean making the deal to save Sam, saved them all, was one that had not occurred to me!

Giggled at the fact Bobby gave Sam codeine, as he knew 'morphine Sam'! And his final words to Sam before going to bed that it was "damn good to have you back again" were heartfelt!

Great writing, loved it!

What a quiet scene but packed full of so much emotion.

I love Bobby. If we can't have JDM than I'm glad we get Jim Beaver instead.

Bobby does care about the brothers and I liked your use of him in the story.

I did have to smile when you referenced a 'morphine Sam', definitely remember him.

Thanks for reminding me that when Dean made the deal to save Sam, he "sold his soul to save us all." Because even though I know it was the only thing Dean could do, doesn't make the next year any easier. But I liked Bobby's words of confidence in finding a way to save Dean, 'he surprised himself with the strength of his own conviction. "We will."

Now as long as Mr. Kripke doesn't have Sam go 'darkside'.

Bobby has alot of books and if anyone can save Dean it will be Sam. He just needs to find the loophole in the demon's contract with Dean.

Enjoyed your story. But you always do an excellent job of capturing the brothers voices and now Bobby's.

Thanks for sharing.

Take care.

Loved it. Bobby is just a bolstering force, and I'm glad that he's around for the Winchesters. Great story!
