I don't enjoy seeing him doing that to himself but it's nice what she did. Only I hope she could have done it sooner and not because she pities him (it's sort of implied in the story, at least from what I got). It's well written :)

Wonderful angst and nice building of his home-life. I like how you have his Mum dead instead of his dad because it's different and most people have him closer to his dad. I love this, amazing.
