Loved it!

Love it!

It's just very, very good. In terms of language, writing, storyline, humour, romance... just everything. I love the fact, that it's just a little Will/Djaq Story, but with loads of background and - most important - plausible background.

This was AWESOME.

My three favourite characters on the show are W/D/A, because of their unusual, complex friendship with each other (not to mention all that seething UST). And you nailed that dynamic here - heck, you did better than the show!

THIS is how the triangle should have played out: even though I love Djaq/Allan as a couple, I always knew the show would have Djaq/Will as end-game, and this was SO much better than that oddly-sweet-but-still-kinda-weird declaration of love in the barn.

And in this version, Djaq gets both guys (in a way). Will is Mr Right, but Allan will always be her first kiss. Heck, he's her make-out buddy! (every girl needs one, just to practice on!) And the fact that he loves her so much that he's not going to give up their friendship just because she's falling for Will, and giving her the option of going "clean slate" if she didn't like it. There's a sweetness to Allan that he hides behind all that talk, and you found it!

You wrote that Djaq "loved him a bit in that moment". Me too, me too.

Those subtle allusions to what people get up to on May Day (wink, wink) and Will's despair that Djaq's with his best friend...the scene of him introducing her to his father, and of course Dan picking up on the tension between the two straight away...and That Kiss. Wow!

Now I'm just mightily annoyed that this isn't the way it played out on the show...

i know it's quite late, but before i joined, i loved this story. it's great!

Hi rebeldivaluv... What a fantastic piece of writing, I loved it from start to finish. I know this is a very late review but you deserve all the praise. I'm a big Will/Djaq fan and I love stories where they take a while to realise or admit they have these feelings for eachother. I loved the May-Day idea (wish I'd thought of that, lol) and having Dan appear was a great thought too - he's a great character and I think you had him down totally - pushing Djaq towards Will. Bloomin' marvellous! Off to read the rest of your stuff now... TQ x

Okay, this was the first Will/Djaq story I ever read and I keep coming back to it. It's my favorite story about my favorite couple and I love all of the stories you put out about them. I would love to see more from you if you have the time :)

This fic is beyond amazing. I read it when you first posted it and I've read it many times since. It's insanely well written and you have all of the characters spot on in such a way that it almost hurts. Djaq is perfect, Allan is exactly how I picture him (even drunk!), and Will is- Will is beyond amazing. I want that Will for my own.

If I tried to tell you what my favourite things about this fic where I would have copy and pasted the whole story in- that's just how good it is. One line, however, brought me back from writing and forced me over to this fic to read again (and again, and again...). This line, “That wasn’t for me, was it?” makes me want to cry and hug Allan and Djaq for the confusion they must be feeling and everything about that line is beyond PERFECT. I just- I love your fics. I hope you write more soon.
