The tone of this chapter as well as the foreshadowing is tragic, even fatalistic. The revelation of Marianne's power was very interesting, because though similar to Lelouch's geass in purpose, the way it works is subtle, round about, and less predictable as you say. A interesting contrast (commentary?) between how men and women tend to operate.

This may be because it has been a while, but I've lost sight of what the focus of this fic is: Is Marianne the protagonist or the narrator? Is the story supposed to spotlight Lelouch and Euphie's relationship or Marianne's voice and role behind the scenes?

Oh...well, being almost divorced is a very good reason for not updating a story, and I hope that things work out well for it! Great update, by the way - you made it so that the long time jump between childhood/Area 11 felt pretty smooth, which is cool.

I really hope that the relationship between Suzaku/Euphy isn't shown that much - it'd be cool if this only concentrated on Lelouch/Euphemia. Of course, this would be a good story either way, but yeah.

Wow, ok. I had to squee over Lelouch asking for Euphie as his bride. And I felt upset with her over the emperor sending Lelouch away. Poor Euphie. As always, love the scenes from their childhood, but we knew they had to grow up sometime. I'm looking forward to whatever's next! -tikana

Ok...now I'm kind of starting to lose interest in ur story cuz ur basically constructing the CG storyline over again with minor altercations. I'll keep this on my alerts for now since I still want to read the ending (which is presumably ur final chapter for this fic).

I personally agree with animedynasty's comment to NOT PUT SUZAKU in THIS fic. Lelouch and company have enough problems to deal with.

P.S. This is a SUGGESTION ; it's ur story so u can write what u want...but I would much prefer no Suzaku XD

Thi story is amazing. I can't wait to read the rest of it. I'm adding this one to my favorites.

This is the first Lelouch/Euphemia story I've read and I must say I'm very impressed. Although it's not one of the more interesting pairings, I think it's a very solid one that would have developed nicely if it wasn't for Euphie's tragic demise. Even then though, you could tell it was one of the few deaths that really struck Lelouch.

I'm definitely looking forward to the next chapter but at the same time, I'm really put off that this story will include a EuphemiaSuzaku pairing. In my eyes, their relationship was a very platonic friendship and nothing more. I don't know, I'm just hoping it's very light and far less romantic than that between Lelouch and Euphemia if there's any at all. In the end it's completely up to you but I hope you give what I said some thought.

Good luck on the next chapter, I'll be waiting eagerly.

reading this again made me realize how well this fits with canon code geass in some ways
such as, paste the premise of the story (man loving a woman who changes him/makes him better with someone who wants to keep them apart) and applies it to Charles, Marianne, and V.V.
