I thought you were done with this series, and was very pleasantly surprised to find this piece. I'd wondered about this moment, and love the way you wrote it. Caesar is perfect. I love watching him confront Xena's inner recesses, and his own. I loved seeing Xena show more humanity than usual, even though she does it with inhuman force. It was even romantic! Excellent, excellent fic.
