Wonderful story, and very well written and developed. You did very well on the characterziations, and generally, the settings were well described, even though there were some jumps in the plot. The last chapter made me laugh - what else to get one ootori Kyouya all head-over-heels impulsive? thanks for sharing!

I just started reading this... I found it and couldn't resist. Kyouya and Renge are after all a really cute couple. I would have held out till I reached the last chapter but one thing bugged me about this: Historical accuracy.

Whilst in this case Zaibatsu is a good word to describe the Ootori group, the Ootori wouldn't have been a Zaibatsu. That term is dated. The Ootori Corporation would be by rights a Keiretsu, as the Zaibatsu were disbanded after WWII by the Allied Powers, as they were seen to be a threat to international security. From these disbanded corporations rose the Keiretsu, a similar form of corporation many of which are led by the former leaders of the Zaibatsu. Just a historical detail that I couldn't help but point out.

Other than that, I love this fic!

You gave Renge great character growth, and you worked a believable Kyouya.

Hopefully you are thinking of writing more from this two.

OMG this is the first time I've ever read an OHHS fanfic and I'm glad this one was the first. I loved the characterization and the way you evolved their relationship. However I feel like I enjoyed this story in a personal level since my husband and I are just like Kyouya and Renge. He's all bussiness, serious, computer and logical minded guy, while I am the artist, singer, loud and hyper girl, haha. Thank you for writing such an amazing story and I look forward to reading more from you!

Wow! They were engaged for a year and that was just their first kiss?! Hmm...how did Renge survive?

I'll be very honest. When I first encountered this, I was a little reluctant to read it. I am not a fan of Renge nor the KyouyaXRenge pairing. Maybe I just didn't think any canon characters would best suit the ever-cool Kyouya Ootori so I actually preferred OCs. However, your story seemed interesting (I visited your site; it looks awesome, by the way) and I thought: "It doesn't matter if it's Renge so long as Kyouya is in it!" Call it a bout of the fan girl syndrome but it's because of that that I went ahead and read your story. And let me say, I honestly, truly, enjoyed every minute of it. I now have a sincere liking for Renge (I found her annoying and sort of weird when I watched her come on a platform erupting from the ground with a high-powered motor at unexpected times and she isn't paid much attention to in other Ouran stories I've read so I don't have a clear picture of her personality) and I realized that she really suits Kyouya (not just because Kyouya looks like Miyabi-sama).

I loved the plot line you have created! It's so Kyouya to agree (and even choose his own bride) to an arranged marriage! I don't really think Kyouya or Renge were in any way OOC (even Tamaki and the others were themselves). You are very good at characterizations. :) It made your story even better.

The pacing was perfect! Renge, of course, falls in love first and Kyouya would only realize the depth of his feelings when she runs away from him unable to stand marriage with an unrequited love. :D Brilliant story! Bravo!

My favorite chapters were the 9th, the 10th, the 13th and the last one. The 9th because of the cute cooking scene. Sophie was just adorable (that overweight Pomeranian pup)! The 10th because I love the drama. Confessions are always touching scenes as well as rejections, I guess. The 13th because of Kyouya spontaneously deciding to go to Paris because of the stuff Tamaki said (yes, I was surprised that TAMAKI outSMARTED Kyouya) and the reconciliation between the two love birds. And finally the 14th because of the FLUFF! Oh fluff, I've been waiting for the kiss for 13 chapters! I thought he wouldn't ever KISS her! But it's good that he did and for being serious too! Hilarious! XD I loved it so much!

Well, back to reality for a moment, I noticed some misspelled words most probably due to typographical errors. You know when you type so fast and don't really notice you've pressed the wrong button/letter or whatever. Nothing major that proofreading shouldn't fix, though. It just made your story a bit hard to read at some parts. :D It wasn't enough to stop me from reading your story once I started it that's for sure! XD Anyways, besides that, your grammar is quit impeccable (like Kyouya) which made this story a definite shoe-in for one of the best stories ever! :D

The ending left something to be desired. The "scans" from your scans helped a bit. But I had wanted to read about the wedding! :D Not that the actual ending you've written isn't good. It would have been a bit too predictable if you had done the wedding anyway (don't ask why I'm contradicting myself; I'm incoherent after reading your story XP). Perhaps I just wanted more KyouyaXRenge fluff! Yes, that should be it. Sigh. I'd get over it soon. . . .I hope.

Meanwhile, I apologize for only giving out one review. I just couldn't take a break from reading your story to review every chapter. I hope this freakishly long review would compensate for my laziness. :D Anyways, congratulations on this masterpiece! :)
