This is amazing. I'm kind of still in the "speachless shock"-phase one is in just after reading something incredible, something like this, but oh my god, I really feel like I had to say something.

At first I felt like "yes, this is a really good thought, this is really realistic, this is talented writing in abundance".

But the tenth death. It was just such an incredible shock-factor, because all the other stories (ALL of them) I've read with yondaime's death in them has portrayed him as proud of dying for his country, straigh and true and with a smile on his face. But reading that short paragraph I felt like I couldn't breathe for a moment.

This oneshot feels like... not like soaring or anything cliche like that, but like falling into a well full of water, suffocating and loving it.

Every time I read this, I keep on trying to re-favourite it so I decided it was time to drop a review on how your writing is so amazing too.

Amazing use of details to get the right effect, too. I really liked how you didn't linger on any one person, even the Yondaime. Great job, in any case.

This was a very beautiful one-shot. The deep digging into the less glamorous parts of shinobi life was extremely well executed, and the entire concept of this piece was well done and thought of. I came across this fic when I was still a lurker, and I've never forgotten it since. Extremely well written, a magnificent theme, and the individual plots are all so tragic and dark.

...wow...Takashi is something akin to a story I just read. That and Yondaime are the only names I recognize.

This is bone-chilling. When I got to number ten and saw Yondaime waiting there, I actually hesitated. This was a terrifying concept that was executed perfectly. Well done. :)
