JaxsLady 2007-12-01 ch 20,	abuseI just caught up with chapters 15-20. As one of the other reviewers noted, be careful with your terminology, otherwise this is a story of young love. I am not in agreement with the reviewer who noted that Jack and Audrey would be too mature to react in the manner you are depicting. In fact, in real life, this is exactly what happens at any age. New love, is what brings about the return of "high-school" type behaviour and this can happen at any age. That is the fun part of falling in love. Having worked in environments with people of all ages, I have always commented that I feel that I never left high school because of the behaviours that I see on a daily basis from individuals in their 30's,40's,50's and more. Just because Jack is a hard core ranger, doesn't mean that he doesn't have feelings. From a characterization perspective, you are grasping what it is like to first fall in love, and as adults, the problems with relationships are just more complex and bring on even more childlike reactions. Jack was not afraid to walk into the strip club, he just felt guilty. He should! If my husband went to a strip club after we had a disagreement I would be furious and we have been married over 20 years. My reaction would be very different if he told me that he is going to a strip club with the guys. Since I trust my husband, I might not like the fact that he would go, but I would not be quite as upset. I think that you are "bang on" with the feelings surrounding new love at any age. Keep up this great love story. Maybe asking someone to proof the story before printing, might help with some of the terminology errors. Otherwise, great work!!
cybertoothtiger 2007-11-20 ch 19,	abuseThis is a cute story, but I think you need to work on your characterisation. Keep in mind that Jack is in his late 30s and has been in the military as well as undercover several times, most recently with the Salazars. I don't think he would be fazed by a strip club. Also, this is a man who powered through heroin withdrawal to save the world in Day 3. Would a hangover really be enough to keep him from showing up at his high-ranking government job? Really consider the central motivations for this character and that will guide your decisions about his actions. As for Audrey, a military brat who works for DoD is not going to be shocked, let alone appalled, that a man goes to a strip club. Dissapointed, maybe, but it certainly wouldn't be a deal-breaker. She's a pretty tough cookie. This story is well written, but these are the reactions of much younger, less experienced people. I would totally believe this story as a Jack/Teri story in high school or even university.
