I don't feel house would announce he didn't care that the patient was dying then say he did after he was done ammusing himself. The airplanes were so House, and so was the ignoring Cameron, but not the whole "Why should I care if the man is dying?". He's a bit more... i don't know the word for it... respectful(?) than that.
