Wow, it's been awhile since I've sat down to read a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfiction. I've been so occupied with Draco/Hermione HP fanfiction and original work and for awhile there seemed to be no Buffy fic I hadn't read. I'm glad I sat down to read this one, though. This was sweet, had a good plot, and I can't help but let the girly, hopeless romantic be sqealy happy about the adorable way you had this fanfiction end: Buffy as an elderly woman and Spike still as young as ever, both letting go as they spent their last moments together. I doubt that many couples nowadays would be that way. This was a great read and an amazing Spuffy fix after going so long without reading one. Thanks for writing a great story!

Spike obviously knows it's Buffy, but she doesn't realize it's him. If she's under the impression he's in England, wouldn't that make a date at the Bronze a little weird. Not to mention that no where is it mentioned that they both live in Sunnydale.
Sorry if that sounds harsh. I was going more for constructive critism. Other than that, I like the story so far.

Was Buffy serious about working with some guy who got off on a bad start, not knowing him at all? Would have better luck with the police.

So the question I would ask is if Buffy realized who "William" is.

I wonder if this is a beginning of a "You've Got Mail" type plot where Spike and Buffy see each other at the Bronze and doesn't realize that it was each other they were to meet? Especially with how vague the meeting thing is, doesn't say that he'll be the one with a flower in his lapel or something. Well, it seems to be a good start.
