I really enjoyed your story. I was so good, I felt like crying when Walter dies. That part is so sad. :( I wish he hadn't died. I would have like to know what would have happened if he came home. You really made the characters come alive, and I congratulate you on a job well done!

I really like it that you have written a story mainly about Di.
She's not mentioned much in the books.
When I read those bits about Walter, it bought tears to my eyes. It makes my heart aache just to think of it.

You have done an excellent job of focusing on the war through Di's perspective. I think you remain pretty factual, but have taken some nice creative liberties that doesn't stray too far from L.M. Montgomery's style of writing. I look forward to your future updates, keep up the splendid work.

this is very beautifully written. If LM　Montgomery had read this, I'm sure she would find it very beautiful too. This is the first time I've read this and the last few chapters had me in tears. I've always wished for more about Walter and such a wonderful soul. Thank you for writing this.

And I loved this chapter. It made me cry. Heart-wringing, you know? I love Rilla of Ingleside, but I've always, always wanted to know how the rest of the clan lived the war years... especially Di, because I feel like she got the short of the stick in some way. I love the way you've written her relationship with Walter - it's so very realistic. And I cried with her. I'm so glad that she manages to find peace with Walter (but especially with herself).

I'm so glad to see this story updated again! As with all your other LMM stories, it truly captures the tone and feeling of the characters. I'm anxious to learn what happens to them!
