Aw. That is just adorable. I love it. No I don't think the boss would be mad at him for getting the audience involved and saving everyone from a long stretch of uncomfortable silence. Surprised no one went ahead and told the staff to clap to prevent that. All the sweeter that the genuinely wanted to.
