Good ole metal. ^^ *also glomps metal* I love how you describe it first as laughing... but later on it's screaming. I've never thought of metal as laughing... only that horrible grindy noise that would be it screamy. But then I think... that sound squeaky swing set with metal chains make... ^^ *glomps metal again* Sure you weren't thinking of me when you wrote this? :P And I love your take on the molten lava/metal pit. ^^ Can I just say I so totally love this fic and have done with it? :P ‘Yeah.’ Sparx blinks through eyes too wide to possibly belong to her. ‘Really my kinda guy.’ Sparx, I so totally agree. All right, I loved it partly 'cause of the small LI references (I so suck!). :P But it was a really good Randomfic, and I liked it and thought you did an excellent job of making him interesting despite his lack of a real character arc in canon. I love the theory of the two accidents, and the second one was especially scary and neat. The Mark conversation at the start, the "grateful to the evil overlord" line, the lovely original treatment of metal telekinesis, the detail of how he and Sparx became friends and the "Really my kinda guy" line, the poor random bloke, the *grapple* (yay!), the wrist cannon conversation...The ending worked too, poor Random and Mark, paused midway to a falling apart world while the memories still live in them. I can't believe you managed to insert the past memories and different POVs like that; somehow it still totally flowed with Random's present circumstances. ^_^ Great squeeful ficcing, Scarabgirl! :P |
