Robshi 2009-07-16 . chapter 2You seem to be portraying Freya's character well. I can imagine her thinking like this on magic.
A shame this chapter didn't really have anything happen in it. It seems to be rather random, but I guess it's a nice break from the despair and angst in the last chapter. |
Robshi 2009-07-16 . chapter 1This looks very interesting. It's nice to see some more Freya stories on here, and this looks like it will be a great one.
That was an interesting take on events in Cleyra, and I like the descriptions of Freya's despair and cursing Fratley leaving her. I'm not sure what Beatrix meant about the princess, since she was just following Brahne's orders in Cleyra, probably believing some lies about the Burmecians threatening Alexandria or something.
Still, I'll be continuing to read this. This looks promising. |
Weeper 2009-07-13 . chapter 10. . . Love. Lover for Freya, love for Amarant, love for all of this. Every single little piece.
Not much to say beyond that. You can do no wrong in my book. |
Weeper 2008-07-06 . chapter 9Wow, I really enjoyed this. I get this sense that Freya's not quite sure how to be real and I love that. I think it fits her perfectly.
Absolutely loved the Jack chapter =D |
Myshu 2008-06-26 . chapter 9It's nice to see more of this!
This most recent chapter gives Freya a bit of a clepto side, but at least she's sensible enough to return everything. It is a strange, oddly fitting idea to have her borrow bags of personality, as if she couldn't bear to carry her own.
I most enjoyed the bar scene with Jack, and his lesson on what makes a hero. That guy's always a fun character, ambiguously familiar.
These ficlets keep being fun, delightful and beautifully insightful. Great style. Blows me outta the water, this does. |
Kamaitachi 2008-06-24 . chapter 8Heh, this reminded me of Weeper's "Nothin' but blue skies, baby" Jack rocks! Anyway, kudos for another great chapter, looking forward to more! |
CWolf2 2008-04-02 . chapter 7These are all really amazing. You portray a vivid picture of Freya through these drabbles, and you give her character a nice amount of depth. I'm a real sucker for this kind of thing. Great work! |
Kamaitachi 2008-02-25 . chapter 6Glad to see this is being updated, nice chapter! |
Myshu 2007-07-07 . chapter 5This is brilliant introspection. The first part with the fight with Beatrix was especially vivid and brutal--and poor Vivi, he was only trying to help. You could really feel the despair of losing Cleyra, and everything it suddenly meant to her.
Freya always has a lot on her plate, and it's fun to see a fic poke around her pscyhe and see what lies beneath. Really, really top-notch characterization here.
Fratley's quip about her bedroom made me smile, and gave me hope about those two. Usually FF9 fics are so dismal with that pairing.
Beautiful stuff! |
 PRIVATE 2007-07-07 . chapter 5 Hee hee! |
 PRIVATE 2007-06-29 . chapter 4This fic is awesome! |
Riana1 2007-06-29 . chapter 4Alexandria was pretty in a Disneysque way-- but it would be hard to find a good pub. |
Kamaitachi 2007-06-27 . chapter 3Freya's the best character in FFIX, and this is a fanfic worthy of her! |
Riana1 2007-06-27 . chapter 3I am keeping "One should not lose themselves to night when light is beyond the trees" in my quotes file. |
Riana1 2007-06-24 . chapter 1Terrifyingly brillant. I love Freya and can never find any good fic about her. |
