I'm not surprised at all that Jake dreamed about Calleigh - that was a lovely scene as well. And I just love how at the end of it all, he ran back to Calleigh. Aw! Nice job!
randomwriting 2007-06-25 ch 1,	abuseI quite liked your version of events. You did a very good job of putting the reader in the moment. Your portrayal of Jake's drug induced delusion was striking. Overall very nice imagery with palpable emotion laced throughout. One of my favorite bits, 'Jake lifted his eyes towards the pounding surf, seeing Calleigh once more. The smile she wore told him that what he had done – all that he had sacrificed was well worth it. Worth it to be able to see her, to feel her in the way he had at that very moment.' And this one, 'It all came back to him now, the screaming maniac, the four lines sitting in front of him, four lines that represented his life or death. It all swirled around her voice, the sound of her love mixing with the drugged haze throwing him into a frenzied confused state. Loved the ending!
speedfanatic05 2007-06-25 ch 1,	abuseSimply fantastic, Kas! Loved the intensity, and the raw visceral feeling of the piece- something we haven't seen in fics in a very long time! You put me right there in the mix with your words. The dream on the beach was just as satisfying. It is a tell tale sign of love to think about your ex while high. But seriously, excellent work on this, and the ending- brilliant! Beautifully done, Kas!
