Oh, this is lovely! I loved the D/V scene in Unending, too - it's just so wonderful and poignant, but I definitely think Vala was a little bit out of character at the end. This is definitely how I could've seen it ending. Very good insight into Vala's character!

Great writing and you have spoken for the majority in doing it this way. In the episode I never understood why Vala just kept quiet or didnt just walk out..

I really like this scene. Daniel knowing he went too far, but not knowing what Vala's thinking. But he HAS to know because he's jsut coming to realize that she really means something to him. Thanks for writing.

go, vala! my friend and i, who watched the finale together, are die-hard daniel fans, but we both weanted to kick his ass for that little tirade... though i thought it was too heated for danny, that it wasn't just vala he was trying to convince. i liked how they did it, but this was even better. she should have gotten the chance to tell him off. i also liked the reversal of who said "you'd better not be messing with me."

I hated the way that scene went because I honestly can't see Vala staying in the same room with Daniel after she told her those things.

This fic is so much better than the actual scene and this is the way I think it should been done.

I must say, I liked this much better than the one in the actual episode. I hated submissive Vala! Your Vala was much more true to her character, and I enjoyed the fact that she doesn't give into Daniel as easily after he verbally attacks her. Good job, and write more!

This was perfect! I could see this happening much more than the scene they gave us on the show. I mean, I'm sure that Daniel needed to rant but I had trouble accepting that Vala would just sit there quietly and take it so I absolutely love this scene tag! Thanks for sharing!

That was a wonderful new conception of how that scene could have ended. It was beautifully honest. I'm a complete sucker for vulnerable Vala. You added a lot of layers to her which really made the story work on an emotional level. I enjoyed it very much.
